Intercessory Prayer

We have intercessory prayer twice a week: first is our Sunday Night Service at 6:30 pm and our second is on Tuesday Mornings at 9:30 am. If you want to join us just come.

Pastor Chris coordinatess the intercessory ministry.  Sometimes others will be invited to share a word as well.  Intercessory leaders on Tuesdays are Cindy Amoroso, Betty Smith, Winnie Ace, and Pastor Chris.

What is intercession?

An interposing or pleading on behalf of another person; a prayer to God on behalf of another.

" And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." (Ezekiel 22:30 AV)

Our heart in this vital ministry is that God find us in the gap.  Jesus is the example of the great intercessory when crucified for us.  He hung between heaven and earth, between God and man, that man might be saved. Ultimately this is the goal of  our intercession, that our family, friends, community, world might be saved...body, soul, and spirit.  Many times people come to intercession for prayer for themselves or others in crisis.  God has done miracles immediately and progressively as those with a prayer ministry sought God for others.

The Prophetic

It is our hope that prophetic gifts be released in any or all of our services.  Our Intercessory meetings experience more of  prophetic gifts because prayer is conversation with a present God.  The Holy Spirit manifest himself and his giftings more frequently when people are intensely focused on God! This is the historical record of the church and our experience.  It was not long after we started our Intercession meetings that God began pouring out upon us visions and dreams and prophetic words.  Peter spoke of this in Act 2:14-21 when explaining the phenomena of other tongues:

" But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

This has been our experience. As we have gathered for prayer, His Spirit has been pour out, prophetic gifts have been manifest, people have been saved  healed and helped by God.  That's Intercession!  It is a place for you to be ministered to by the Holy Spirit and for you to minister through the Holy Spirit . A place for you to stand between God and people. You are invited to experience it!
